Data First, Always . . . .
AI transformation starts long before you pick a vendor
Everyone’s talking about AI agents that can plan trips, negotiate rates, and book rooms without ever touching your website. It sounds exciting until you realize your tech stack was built for humans, not machines. The truth? Most AI projects fail before they even start because the data foundation isn’t there.
You have static data, dynamic data, ARI, transactional data scattered across countless systems. Getting it aligned isn’t glamorous work, but it’s the work that makes everything else possible. This week we’re looking at what AI transformation really requires, why great guest experiences stall in the “mess in the middle,” and what rebuilding your tech stack for the agentic AI era actually looks like. No shortcuts. No vendor magic.
This Week @ Luxe Élevé
The future of luxury hospitality isn’t about slapping chatbots on websites or automating email drips. It’s about empowering truly intelligent systems-AI agents that are deeply integrated, context-aware, and capable of…
Every luxury resort has a clear mandate: deliver a guest experience that feels seamless, personal, and unforgettable. It’s what leadership envisions. It’s what marketing and sales aim to drive. And…
Worth Your While
A new kind of traveller is emerging, one who may never visit your website, click an ad, or speak to a human. Instead, they rely on their personal AI agent to plan, compare, negotiate, and book every aspect of their trip. This shift marks a seismic change in how travel is discovered and transacted, demanding a fundamental rethink of hotel technology stacks.
Tip of the Week
Every AI project begins with a significant data project. You have 4 primary types of data:
– Static Data: Hotel addresses, phone numbers
– Dynamic Data: Hours of operation, offer start and end data
– ARI: Availability, Rates and Inventory
– Transactional Data: Reservations, receipts, invoices
You have countless sources of that data. You don’t need to get all of that 100% aligned to move forward with an AI strategy but don’t be fooled that some vendor can plug-n-play your AI solution with a long list of integration icons on their website. It’s data first, always.
That’s it for this week. Hit reply if you’re dealing with integration headaches — I’m curious what you’re seeing.
