"Hospitality & Travel are 15 years behind enterprise tech.
I'm here to change that."
The Most Trusted Voice on AI and
Transformation in Luxury Hospitality
A Note from Peter
I spent 25 years delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation for Fortune 100 companies. I oversaw teams that built billion-dollar commerce platforms, implemented omni-channel content systems, created enterprise data systems, and migrated legacy systems everyone said couldn’t be migrated.
Then I looked at luxury hospitality and saw an industry running on antiquated technology, held hostage by vendors who profit from dependency, and told to just accept it because those vendors “understand hospitality.”
That’s not how things should work.
What I did for Walmart, Microsoft, and Comcast? Luxury hospitality deserves that too. Modern, composable technology that creates agility and opportunity. AI that empowers your teams. All so you can move at the speed of business and delight your guests.
So I created the Luxe Élevé podcast, blog, and newsletter to share with you the possibilities and promise that technology can provide, drawing on my 25+ years of experience. I founded Sherpera to guide resorts and travel companies beyond the limitations of disconnected legacy systems and fragmented data to create something irreplaceable: unforgettable human experiences for both your team and your guests.
The technology you rely on should finally match the remarkable hospitality you deliver every day.
I hope what you find here inspires you to imagine what’s possible. That’s what Luxe Élevé is about: helping you elevate every experience for your team and your guests.

Professional Bio
Peter Ladka is the most trusted voice on AI and transformation in luxury hospitality, bringing 25+ years of enterprise digital transformation experience to an industry ready for change.
As Founder and CEO of Sherpera, Peter guides luxury resorts and travel companies through strategic transformation, helping them own their data strategies, govern their technology architectures, and realize possibilities that legacy vendors claim are impossible. His approach challenges the closed, proprietary systems that have kept hospitality a decade behind enterprise best practices, advocating instead for composable, open architectures that empower organizations rather than creating vendor dependency.
Before founding Sherpera in 1997, Peter led an 85-person engineering firm delivering enterprise-grade digital transformation for Fortune 100 companies including Walmart, Comcast, and AmerisourceBergen. His team built $2 billion commerce platforms, unified content systems across 27 brands, and integrated complex B2B operational systems at massive scale. In hospitality, Peter led Tauck Travel’s digital transformation, migrating a 35-year legacy system to modern architecture while preserving complex relationship models that span employees, guests, agents, families, and corporate accounts.
Peter publishes Luxe Élevé, a newsletter and podcast where he educates the luxury hospitality industry on AI visibility, conversational commerce, and the strategic foundations required for sustainable transformation. His thought leadership challenges vendor fear tactics, advocates for best-in-class tools over inferior “hospitality-specific” alternatives, and positions AI as empowering human experiences rather than replacing them.
In 2006, while watching his daughter play tee-ball, Peter founded Beautiful People, a 501(c)3 nonprofit providing adaptive sports for children and young adults with disabilities. As Board Chairman, he has grown the organization into Orange County, New York’s largest adaptive youth sports league, serving hundreds of athletes through baseball, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading programs. The work reinforced a fundamental belief that shapes his approach to hospitality transformation: technology should empower human experiences, not replace them.
Peter’s philosophy is direct: luxury hospitality deserves modern, open, strategic technology. Properties must own their data, content, and AI strategies rather than abdicate control to vendors. Transformation requires foundation – not point solutions – and the gap between guest expectations and hospitality technology is widening daily in the AI-driven economy. He serves as a strategic transformation partner to properties ready to author their own technology outcomes.
Based in Warwick, New York, Peter speaks at industry conferences, advises hospitality leadership on AI and transformation strategy, and continues to challenge the status quo that keeps luxury properties dependent on outdated systems.
